"If elected governor, Jill Long Thompson would work to ease the state’s voter-ID law and strengthen the Indiana Civil Rights Commission."
"The ideas were among a handful of proposals the Democratic gubernatorial candidate unveiled Thursday, first in a conference call with minority-run newspapers and then to all media."
“As governor, I will work to ensure all people are actively engaged in Indiana’s progress and I will work to ensure our government better reflects the people it represents,” she said.
______
Jill show us where Indiana ID law would keep someone from voting. I am sure that you and your party would be glad to help those who wants to get the ID.
_____
"Long Thompson wants to adopt the federal standards, which would allow Hoosiers to use a utility bill, bank statement, government check, current paycheck or other government document showing the name and address of the voter as proof of identification."
Boy this would be hard to get to vote in another persons name. Anyone got a utility bill, bank statement, government check I can borrow? If this guy has just passed away, who would know?
Then I could vote twice.
Now here is a surprise:
Long Thompson also suggested:
• Expanding the responsibilities of the Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives, including directing it to work specifically on preventing teenage pregnancies, parenting skills, reducing the high school dropout rate and lowering the rate of recidivism in Indiana communities. Long Thompson also would create a statewide Board of Faith and Community Partnerships to advise the office and her administration on these matters.

And Here is two that does not surprise us:
Strengthening the Indiana Civil Rights Commission, including allowing victims of confirmed discrimination to have their attorney’s fees paid by the offending employer, allowing either party to have a case moved to state court rather than the commission and giving those involved in a case the right to a jury trial.
• Increasing Internet connectivity and access in urban centers.

Jill I have to pay for my Internet Connection. Why should we have to pay for someone to use it for free?
