High price of Gas

Where will it all end?

About a dozen semi-trucks descended off I-70 and circled the Statehouse this morning in a staged protest of record-high diesel fuel prices.

With the price of gas here at $3.48 or so where will it go from there? What will the general public do about it? What I have seen, they will do nothing except keep on buying the high price gas. Just look out on the roads on the week-end. Don't tell me that all these people are going or coming from work. Take a good look at the drive Thur at your local McDonald's. I have seen them wrap all the way around the building while no one is inside.

So I say the price has not been to high enough to effect the everyday citizen. Not until we see people stop buying the high price product. And don't give me we have to buy it. Yes you may have to drive to work and back but have you ever heard of car pooling? As you know, you have heard from me on this subject before. But I guess I am lucky because I live close to ever thing, one mile from work, one or two miles where I do my shopping. So I use very little gas, maybe 2 to 3 gallons per week. My wife uses about $25 to $30 dollars per week. Summer time, I enjoy riding my Moped and get 70 mpg. Don't laugh many of you may be riding them before this is over with. They are expecting $4.00 top end this summer. So in closing, keep buying, get making unnecessary trips and the price will keep on climbing.
