Walk this Sunday (Public Announcement)

Homelessness is an economic drain upon our community. Beyond the detraction of panhandlers, there is a substantial cost in the medical and judicial systems.
The Homeward Bound Walk is scheduled for this Sunday to benefit agencies that work to end homelessness in Indianapolis. It includes agencies that provide shelter, health care, mentoring services, and care to the homeless as they approach death.

We encourage everyone who is concerned, or irritated, by the homeless issue to get involved, come walk, and raise funds. Registration begins at noon at University Park Downtown and the walk begins at 2 p.m.
As a community, we can do for homelessness what the Komen walk does to help end breast cancer. For more information go to www.homewardboundindiana.org.
