Gun Owners of America Endorses Governor Daniels

Gov. Mitch Daniels has done a number of things to promote the right to keep and bear arms during his time as governor. And based on his excellent record, Gun Owners of America Political Victory Fund is endorsing Daniels for reelection.

Here is a brief list of things that Gov. Daniels has done to promote gun owners' rights:

- In 2006, Daniels signed the Lifetime Handgun license bill, which is the only one like it in the country; - He signed the Castle Doctrine bill into law in 2006 to further protect the rights of gun owners to defend themselves; - He signed an Executive Order allowing licensed carry on Indiana Department of Natural Resources property, which eventually became permanent; and - In February, Gov. Daniels signed the Apprenticeship Hunting License that will allow all children and adults that have not had the Hunters Safety Course to go hunting in the field with a licensed adult hunter.
