The last two elections for president of the United States have been excruciatingly close. They both came down to a small number of votes in a few key areas.
With the endorsement of Sen. Barack Obama, the Teamsters’ Union recently took a bold step to make the next four years better for America’s workers. As other last two election made it clear, thought, simply casting a ballot on election day is not longer enough. Years from now, our members will be able to look back on this time, right now, and say they were part of history.

Senator Obama will stand with the Teamsters when it comes to fighting for working families,” Hoffa said. “This endorsement begins a partnership to change America. You notice that he only talk about the last two elections. Hoffa also endorsed Bill Clinton for President. Clinton promised that he would never sign NAFTA into law, which he did later after the election. Hoffa has never once mention this fact. So Mr. Hoffa, how many promises can we believe in? The Teamsters Union has 1.4 million members.
