I recieved an email from the Indiana State Legislative today. I will pass it on to you and it is as follows:
Public Forum on Youth Services
A public forum of the Indiana Commission on Disproportionality in Youth Services has been scheduled in Indianapolis next week. I invite you to attend this meeting and bring your ideas on how we can better serve Hoosier children.
Did you know…?
· In 2005, the State’s child population was 86% White, 8% Black — however, 28% of the out-of home/foster care population was Black.
· In Indiana, Black children are 4 times more likely and Hispanic children are 2 times more likely to receive out-of-school suspensions than Whites.
The Indiana Commission on Disproportionality in Youth Services is charged with reviewing and addressing the disproportionate representation of youth of color in the use of youth services in juvenile justice, child welfare, education and mental health services.
Your feedback and participation in the public meeting will help the commission develop recommendations on how the state's children can be better served in these areas.
Commission on Disproportionality in Youth Services - Public Forum
Tuesday, May 20
6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Ivy Tech Campus
North Meridian Center - Fourth Floor Auditorium
50 West Fall Creek Parkway North Drive
Indianapolis
Now I ask this question Why are the white kids not included in this "Indiana Commission"
If anyone today would say that the Indiana Commission is charged with reviewing and addressing the disproportionate representation of all whites in the use of youth services in juvenile justice, child welfare, education and mental health services, this would be labled racist. Why is this not racist?

Has it never occurred to these geniuses that the social problems among blacks has something to do with their 70% illegitimacy rate? It is a documented fact that children from single parent homes do less well on every measure of social well being there is, so it is no wonder that these problems are happening. If they really want to solve this problem, black and minority youngsters should be encouraged to practice abstinence before marriage, so that their eventual children will be much more likely to avoid these problems.
The City of Indianapolis/Marion County needed to expand its services to city and county residents by adding interactive voice response systems and other call-in applications, increasing flexibility and providing faster service, all while containing costs.
