City-County Councilwoman Doris Minton-McNeill was arrested on a preliminary battery charge Sunday after a scuffle at her home with an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officer.
Minton-McNeill, 51, was booked at the Arrestee Processing Center in Downtown Indianapolis after being arrested about 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
When police arrived at the home in the 2000 block of Medford Avenue, they found a woman outside who appeared to be intoxicated
