Home owners upset with taxes

As I was looking over my own property tax bills from 2004 to the present, I fine that they have gone up each year.

2004 Tax Bill = $988
2005 $1010
2006 $1024
2007 First bill $1530
2007 real bill $1437

So that is $413 more then my 2006 taxes. As I understand it it will be about the same next year then drop to $1003. when the 1% cap is applied. Is there a rebate on its way for next year?
All of this and we are paying the new 1% sales tax for property tax "relief". In effect, I will be paying the same bill in 2009 as I am in 2007. The only difference will be, it will be two taxes instead of one.

Lets take a full view of this. It will take two years for the cap to take affect. Then we will have the one percent cap in place. But the does not mean that your taxes will not go up by reassessment. There is still work to be done. I hope everyone shows at the July 4th "talks" at the Governor mansion. I plan on being there and I hope to see you there.
